The Manor House
Headley 2016 Residential development & Refurbishement
We were initially asked to come and refurbish a double garage with accomodation over. The clients were so impressed with our team and quality of work we were then asked to undertake complete internal and external renovation of the £6m Manor House.
About the Project:
Headley Manor in Epsom is a beautiful listed manor house surrounded by it small holding, stables paddocks and rolling countryside.
We were asked to undertake complete re-decoration of the externals including some prety vigilant Boston Ivy removal.
There were a few replacement windows and all lead on the roof was also overhauled.
Internally we undertook a complete re-wire, added 3no ensuite bathrooms, insulation upgrades, new flooring and decorating throughout. There was also a ground source heat pump, with associated groundworks and complete overhaul of the heating system .
We also refurbished the pool house, re-pointed and renovated the pool and surrounding patio and carried out some tree surgery.
We worked direct with the client and owner and her 3rd party project manager to carry out all aspects of the project to the highest possible standard.
The Manor House
The Manor House Headley was due to be vacated for the duration of the works but the client and her daughters had a real desire to stay and so works were phased and scheduled arround them in situ for the most part.
As is the nature of working on such a large period property a fair ammount of additional work was required once we had opened things up. The huge ivy covering the entire front elavation had caused some serious water ingress and subsequent damp issues. All additional works were discussed with the client throughout and hasty solutions to issues raised undertaken.
